Troopers Investigate Wawa Robbery

Wilmington, DE- Delaware State Police are currently investigating the armed robbery of a Wilmington area Wawa that occurred early this morning.

The initial investigation has determined that the incident happened at approximately 2:28 a.m. this morning, Monday, October 24, 2016, as four male suspects entered the Wawa located at 705 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington. Three of the suspects, who were all armed with unknown make and model handguns, confronted a female clerk of the store and demanded money from the cash register as the fourth suspect acted as a lookout. The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to them. Two of the suspects then removed donation jars from the sales counter before all four suspects fled from the business in an unknown direction. There were no injuries.

All four of the suspects were described as black males, three of which were 20-30 years of age. Two of them were approximately 6’00” tall and one 5’05” tall. All four suspects were last seen wearing all black clothing. There is no further physical or clothing description available. No video surveillance photos are available to be released at this time.
