Troopers Investigate Report of Shots Fired – Dover

Dover (19901) – The Delaware State Police are investigating an incident in which an unknown suspect shot at an occupied vehicle in the parking lot of a Dover area apartment complex yesterday evening.

The initial investigation has determined that the incident occurred on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at approximately 9:45 p.m., as a 24-year-old male, a 22-year-old male, and a 19-year-old female were seated inside of a black Kia Sorento, which was parked in the 300 block of Billy Mitchell Lane in the General’s Greene Apartment complex. It was at this time that an unknown suspect fired multiple rounds from an unknown make and model gun, striking the vehicle. The three subjects immediately exited the apartment complex in the car which subsequently became disabled in the area of Rt. 10 and Bay Road. None of the occupants of the vehicle were injured.

This incident remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police. No arrests have been made and there is no suspect description available at this time.
