Wilmington (19802) – Delaware State Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a north Wilmington BP gas station that occurred last night.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:50 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at the BP gas station located at 3507 Miller Road, Wilmington. A black male suspect approached the 56 year old female employee at the sales counter, implied that he had a weapon and demanded cash from the register. A customer then entered the business, which caused the suspect to flee before receiving any money. He was last seen on foot towards the Miller Road Shopping Center. The employee was not injured as a result of the incident.
The suspect is described as a black male, 40-45 years of age, 5’9”-5’10”, wearing all dark clothing, to include a face covering.
